In 2022, Universitas Bandar Lampung celebrated its 50th anniversary. Established in 1972, it began with the founding of the Academy of Business Administration (AAN) Tanjung Karang, which later became the Academy of Secretarial and Management (ASM) and eventually transformed into Universitas Bandar Lampung (UBL). The founders had a noble goal: to expand access to higher education and contribute to the intellectual and social advancement of the nation.

Today, Universitas Bandar Lampung is one of the top universities in Indonesia, particularly in the Southern Sumatra region, having received awards from the Higher Education Service Institution (LLDikti Region II) for five consecutive years: 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.

UBL has made many constructive and productive contributions to national development, driven by the dedication and commitment of its academic community. Universitas Bandar Lampung continues to innovate and lead as a top institution in innovation development.
